Email relay

OneStop creates a random email address for each post and forwards messages between you and the poster. Emails arrive in your regular inbox, and both of you can reply normally without sharing your personal addresses.

How it works

To start a conversation, send an email to the address shown on the post:

[email protected]

If the poster responds, their message will appear in the same email thread. Behind the scenes, further replies use a private address created for that conversation:

post-0198d5e4b8a77a25b4ae1c2d3e4f5a6b-reply-k3m8p2x4q7@reply.askonestop.com

That address only works for you and the poster. You do not need to copy it—your email app uses it automatically when you select Reply.

Things to know

You can start a conversation for 30 days after a post is published. The conversation then remains open for 30 days, even if the post is removed. Replies do not restart the clock.

Your name and personal email address stay hidden. Your email signature and anything you write remain visible.

Use the same email account throughout the conversation. Attachments, automatic replies, CC, and BCC are not supported, and messages must be 5 MB or less.

If your email doesn’t go through

Copy the full address again, use the same email account, and remove any attachments. If it still does not work, the post or conversation may have expired.

Keep passwords, financial details, identity documents, and verification codes out of email. See the OneStop safety guidelines.
